I am a clinical psychologist (she/her pronouns) with over 15 years of experience providing individual, group and family therapy. I was born and raised in North Carolina and completed my undergraduate degrees at UNC Chapel Hill. I went on to complete my Master's and Doctoral degrees at UNC Greensboro, where I received generalist training in mental health treatment across inpatient, college counseling and various outpatient community-based treatment centers. While there, I specialized in the assessment and treatment of ADHD and co-occurring disorders in the college-aged and adult population. I went on to complete my internship and postdoctoral years through the Boston VA Healthcare System, with appointments at Boston University and Harvard Medical School. I provided residential and outpatient treatment for veterans and specialized in addiction, trauma, and behavioral medicine.

I worked for several years in New York City at Columbia University Medical Center as a staff trauma and addictions specialist at the Columbia Day Program providing intensive group and individual CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic treatment for adults. I completed post-graduate training in several trauma therapy modalities while in NYC and started a DBT consultation team at the Day Program to better serve staff and clients involved in the DBT skills groups. I moved back to North Carolina and served as the Clinical Director of a mental health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in the Triangle area.

I now offer the opportunity for adults to work with me in a private practice setting doing individual and adult family therapy. I am licensed in NC and NY, and am also an approved PSYPACT psychologist, so am able to provide teletherapy to clients in PSYPACT participating states. I am proud to serve the community I grew up in and am glad to be able to connect with clients in NY and other states needing my skill set.

I work with adults (18+) with a variety of presenting and co-occurring issues, including:

  • PTSD, C-PTSD and trauma symptoms

  • Mood Disorders

  • Anxiety Disorders

  • Personality Disorders

  • Dissociative Disorders and symptoms

  • ADHD and Executive Functioning difficulties

  • Substance Use Disorders and other addictions

  • Adjustment Disorders

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Life Transitions

  • Grief and loss

  • Chronic Pain and illness

I also greatly enjoy supervising and consulting with therapists and collaborating with other providers. I have training in supervision as well as direct experience working as a Clinical Director and Assistant Director in several clinics where I supported staff working with group and individual therapy clients. I am a Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) provider and an approved IFS Consultant able to support colleagues learning the IFS model and working on their own consultation hours towards certification.
